Who am I?

I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student pursuing my bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. I am passionate about teaching and problem solving. My dream is to become a college professor one day so that I can impact the lives of my students by providing them with an educational experience that helps them beyond the classroom.

While being in college, it is easy to get caught up in the daily routine of studying and trying to pass my classes. The Grand Challenge Scholars program has given me the opportunity to see the large scale problems in the world that could be fixed with engineering, and be able to find purpose in the learning that I do every day. This program has helped me view the world through a different lens. I am hopeful now more than ever that if we come together to solve the challenges described in this program that is one step towards a brighter future.
