Why advance personalized learning?

Learning is not "one size fits all", and I've learned this through my own experience as a student. I know that certain ways of learning work best for me. As a teacher, I have to constantly find ways of explaining concepts to people that work best for them. I strongly believe that if you are given the right tools, you can achieve anything you want to.

I have been a teaching fellow at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for a year now. This job has made me develop a passion for helping students learn by providing them with the individualized help they need.

This grand challenge is aligned with my future goals of becoming a college professor. One of the foundations of how society functions is education, and I think understanding your own areas of difficulty and strengthening them is essential to navigating the world we live in.
